As 2020 draws to a close we look forward to saying goodbye to a horrible year. Throughout this time Age Concern volunteers have gone above and beyond to help the communities in which they live and work. Every day they strive to make a difference to the lives of our clients and the pleasure in helping others is reward itself.
Whether it is taking people to hospital appointments, making a phone call to someone who lives on their own or supporting food banks for those most in need, we have been by their side providing practical help. Our 4 local drop-in centres remain open providing a focal point for the community and offering a warm welcome and much needed social interaction in a friendly environment.
Their value to clients continues to be immeasurable. We are dedicated to fighting Loneliness and Isolation that has often become an unwelcome mainstay for too many people. But this does not need to be the case. Those few hours with others are enough to make a positive difference to our clients’ lives. Full details of where we are can be found by calling our Helpline on 652537615.
