Every year Age Concern arrange a trip for our clients and volunteers to travel to Gibraltar.

It is almost an annual pilgrimage for people to stock up with their favourite Christmas goodies and each year the number of clients and volunteers who have enjoyed this day out has increased.

This year, Wednesday 27th November, was no different. There was a sense of excitement as clients met up with old friends and were introduced to new ones.

Shopping at Morrisons, some additional retail therapy and a spot of lunch made for a full and enjoyable day.

Age Concern cover Fuengirola, Mijas and Benalmádena with 4 drop-in social clubs every week. Here we offer advice, help, support and, most importantly, friendship to the older English speaking community. Nationality is not important to us as everyone is welcome.
Every day we fight against the hidden scourge of loneliness and isolation because we know that does not have to be part of getting older. Our Welfare Team are always available should clients feel they need a little extra help and support and these conversations are always confidential.
All our drop-in centres are fun and welcoming with numbers continuing to grow each week. We provide weekly meetings, regular lunch clubs, trips, concerts and a full social calendar. There is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the year and membership is absolutely FREE. If you would like to know how we can help you, or if you would like to help us, please get in touch.
We have a HELPLINE that is open weekdays from 10.00 to 5.00 pm (there is an after-hours message service).
Our number is 652537615 and our email is info@ageconcernfym.com
