PUBLIC STATEMENT
Recently our president Linda Ewen, as part of her duties, was dealing with a legacy, during which it came to light that certain legal requirements, mainly in relation to registration of documents, had not been fulfilled by the previous administration of the charity.
Primarily Age Concern would like to reassure you, the community, that financial safeguards have been in place throughout the charity’s existence and therefore are no cause for concern.
On 16th September 2024, Gedufo, S.L.P., an established accountancy firm (gestor) based in Fuengirola was appointed as the charity’s legal representative.
A number of actions will now be taken to ensure the charity operates within the statues originally established in 2014.
The current members of the charity Executive Board are as follows:
Linda Ewen (Acting President and Welfare Manager)
Norman Joliffee (Deputy President)
Peter Rapaport (Acting Treasurer)
