Visit with Ambassador Sir Alex Ellis

This week, our Ambassador Alex Ellis and our Vice Consul in Málaga, Miriam Pérez, met with Norman Joliffe from Age Concern Fuengirola, Mijas & Benalmádena and Neil Hesketh from Support in Spain to hear more about the vital work they do to assist British nationals across the country.

Age Concern Fuengirola, Mijas and Benalmádena—led by dedicated volunteers—provide essential support to members of our community, from practical advice and translation help to emotional support and guidance navigating life in Spain. Support in Spain is an online guide and directory for British nationals over 50 and other foreign residents in Spain who may need extra help and advice.

We are proud to work alongside them and many other charities in Andalucía, and deeply value their contribution to the wellbeing of British nationals. The Embassy remains committed to strengthening these partnerships and ensuring that our community feels supported, informed and connected.
